Two women died, two were injured in a car accident in Geneva

GENEVA, IL — Two women were killed and two men were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Geneva early Saturday morning.

Geneva Police responded to a Dodge westbound on Fabian Parkway that ran a red light at Kirk Road. The vehicle then collided with a Hyundai traveling southbound on Kirk Road.

According to Geneva police, the collision caused the Dodge to be involved in a secondary crash with a tow truck that was traveling eastbound in the left turn lane on Fabyan Parkway and was waiting to turn north onto Kirk Road.

The 25-year-old woman driving the Dodge and an unknown female passenger died at the scene.

The 50-year-old man driving the Hyundai was airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in critical condition.

The 31-year-old man driving the tow truck was taken to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was discharged from the hospital.

Currently, the accident is under investigation, no charges have been filed.
