A 42-year-old woman has died in a hit-and-run on the West Side
CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for a vehicle involved in a fatal crash in the city’s Lawndale neighborhood.
Police said a woman was crossing the street in the 900 block of South Pulaski Road around 8:30 Monday evening when a tan four-door SUV struck the woman — and continued southbound.
The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she later died.
The medical examiner identified her as 42-year-old Monica Eason.
According to the police, it was a 1995-2000 Jeep.
No one is in custody. The collision is under investigation.
