A carjacking occurred in River West, Rogers Park

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department sent out an alert Friday afternoon about a series of armed robberies and carjackings that occurred in the River West and Rogers Park neighborhoods.

Police said in each case, an unknown black male(s) approached the victims in their cars and demanded their property in the early morning hours. In some incidents, the offenders brandished handguns.

According to the police, the attackers were between 18 and 30 years old, they were wearing black clothes, black ski masks, one was wearing a blue cap, and they were brandishing weapons.

• 800 block of North Campbell, Nov. 25, 2022 at 7:30 a.m.

• 800 block of North Rockwell, November 25, 2022 at 7:40 am

• 800 block of North Campbell, November 25, 2022 at 7:45 am

• 6400 block of North Hoyne, November 25, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.

• 6500 block of North Domain, Nov 25, 2022 at 8:11 am

• 6000 block of North Campbell, Nov. 25, 2022 at 8:20 a.m.

• 6200 block of North Clermont, November 25, 2022 at 8:15 am

CPD recommends installing quality CCTV and alarms whenever possible and/or calling 911 if you or anyone you know sees any suspicious vehicles or people in the area of ​​these incidents.
