Aurora man sentenced to 5 years for beating pregnant girl
AURORA, Illinois — An Aurora man has been sentenced to five years in prison for beating his pregnant girlfriend.
On September 9, he was found guilty of four counts of battery on a pregnant victim and four counts of domestic battery.
At the time of the March 22 incident, Autement was on probation for domestic violence.
Just after 12:30 a.m., police responded to the home for a verbal altercation. Police said the argument turned physical when Autement punched his girlfriend in the face, pushed her to the ground and began kicking her.
Prosecutors said other family members had to pull him off the girl. The unborn child was not injured.
Automent was arrested a few hours after fleeing the scene.
He has been held in the DuPage County Jail since his arrest.
