Grocery store accident jams workers’ hands: Oregon officials

Grocery

Oregon emergency responders said a worker’s arm was pulled from a car after it got stuck during an accident at a grocery store.

A supermarket worker was taken to the emergency room after one of his hands got stuck in a meat tenderizer, Oregon officials said.

Four of the worker’s fingers were “jammed to the second joint”, Portland Fire & Rescue wrote in an Oct. 27 news release.

Crews said they used a grinder to open the car and free the man’s arm.

The patient was treated at the trauma center at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, firefighters said.
