Two men were killed in a shooting at a congregation on the Far South Side
CHICAGO — Two men were killed in a shooting that erupted at a gathering in the West Pullman neighborhood early Saturday morning.
Police said the men were at a gathering of about 30 people in the 12700 block of South Halsted Street around 12:15 a.m. when an unknown assailant opened fire.
One 34-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.
Another 36-year-old man, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to hospital in critical condition, was also later pronounced dead.
A 27-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
Another man, who suffered a gunshot wound to the lower left leg, drove himself to Roseland Community Hospital in good condition.
No one has been arrested, the incident is under investigation.
