A Chicago man has been charged with the first-degree murder of a missing pregnant woman

CHICAGO — A man is accused of killing a pregnant woman who went missing on Oct. 9.

Yaer Shen, 46, has been charged with first-degree murder, one count of first-degree murder of an unborn child and one count of concealing a death, police said.

Shen was arrested on Tuesday at his home in the city’s Brighton Park area after being identified as the person responsible for the death of 40-year-old Bilian Fang.

Fang was pregnant and went missing on Oct. 9 in the 3000 block of South Lock Street.

Shen is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
