Dolly Parton’s Magical Mountain Christmas premiere date for holiday specials. The premiere date is the deadline

The previously announced two-hour holiday special featuring country/pop superstar Dolly Parton has set a debut date.

Dolly Parton’s mountain magic airs Thursday, December 1st at 8:00 PM ET/PT on NBC. Musical guests Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmy Allen, Zach Williams and Miley Cyrus join Dolly for the special.

Tom Everett Scott, Angel Parker and Ana Gasteyer also star. Rounding out the cast are Mary Lane Haskell, Brian Bett, Brendan Bradley, John Newberg, Rachel Parton George, Cassie Parton Griffith, Rhoda Griffis, Liam Rauhoff and Steve Summers.

The film will feature a couple of Parton’s iconic songs (“9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You”), as well as a new holiday tune.

The film is described as a modern movie musical about the creation of network television. During the filming and rehearsal chaos, Parton finds herself on a private journey into her past, guided by the mysterious apparitions of her personal Three Wise Men of the Mountain.

David Rambo wrote and executive produced with Sam Haskell and Dolly Parton. Director and executive producer was Joe Lazarov. Hudson Hickman is also an executive producer. Billy Levine and Steve Summers are producing.

Emmy Award winner Kathryn Burns choreographed the musical numbers with assistant choreographer David Hull.

Warner Bros. Television is produced in association with Magnolia Hill Productions and Sandollar Productions.
