Dolly Parton says she doesn’t think she’ll ever tour again

(WJW) — To the shock of many fans, one of the most beloved people and musicians on the planet recently announced that she may never go on tour again.

Dolly Partonnow 76, recently told Pollstar magazine she no longer sees herself on the road, says she would like to be closer to her husband and home these days.

“I don’t think I’ll ever tour again, but I know I’ll do special shows here and there every now and then.” she told Pollstar. “Maybe do a long weekend of concerts, or just a few concerts at a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full-fledged tour anymore.”

Still, the artist/philanthropist/actor, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Nov. 5, made it abundantly clear that he has no plans to leave his fans in the dark.

“I never feel disconnected from my fans because in this high-tech world you can be with them,” she said.

Parton was recently seen performing in Columbus promoting it Program library of imaginationwhich sends free books to families with children under 5 each month.
